of the ladies I know are pregnant...and I'm not.
Let me start by saying...we decided to have a vasectomy because we are done having children.
The #1 reason is because we can't afford it. I mean, we could, but then you have to think about college and braces..you know.
Another reason is I can't go thru the pains (all of them) of the birthing. I am fine all the way, but when it's time to be admitted...I get a queasy feeling just thinking about it. I shudder at the thought of getting an epidural, possible episiotomy...I won't bore you with the list of nausea-inducing things. I seriously feel a small panic attack come on when I think about the painful procedures involved with having a child...the possible complications..all of it.
We have had 3 beautiful children. Our first-born son was stillborn at 32 weeks (went throught the entire baby-having process and went home empty handed). A year later we had our daughter..she's 8 now. Three years and four months later we had our son, our last and he's turning 5 at the end of this month.
Where I was going with this rambling was...everyone's pregnant and it is HARD to deal with our decision. I know we can't but I LOVED every minute of being pregnant. If I could be pregnant and then wave my magic wand and *poof*...baby's here...
I would.
...my best friend of 17 years is pregnant and it's not like I want to burden her with my silly emotions.
